Namasté New York
LadyWe has gone bi-costal!
We are on an intense job and apartment hunt. The job market has been very competitive but we are staying positive and hopefully something will spring up soon!
We’ve been trying to find ways to steam off some stress. Lucky for us, New York hosts some of the best outdoor yoga classes – did we mention they’re free?! Can you picture yourself in warrior pose in the middle of Times Square along with hundreds of other yoga goers with thousands of tourists watchings? How about looking up at the sky at Bryant Park during upward facing dog? We participated in the Bryant Park yoga session on Thursday and we must admit that it’s been one of the most invigorating things we’ve ever done. Just sound of 700+ people buzzing “Ooommm” in unison felt as if we were drowning out the sounds of the city.
We were so happy to see so many women come together to join forces and participate in such a healthy activity of challenges and inner peace. We look forward to many more similar activities this summer.
What’s The Daffodil-io?
Happy March to everyone! We just discovered that the March flower is the daffodil. The meaning of this flower is friendship and domestic happiness. It’s easy to pick up a couple of bunches for just a couple bucks from your local flower shop or market. The common colors daffodils come in are: white, orange, and (our personal favorite) yellow. Daffodils are versatile flowers that you can throw in a mason jar or empty glass bottle for rustic decor. We love the idea of putting them in fun objects such as an old, vintage looking, flour can or teapot.

Take A Seat

Last weekend we took a visit to the Pasadena Rose Bowl Flea Market. We saw many amazing things and one of them was this amazing bench. At first glance, it seems that there are three chairs but after further examination we see that it is just a single bench. We thought this was a fun, unique and clever way to introduce a unique piece of furniture into any house decor. There were many colors and sizes. This three seater retailed for $320.
Movie Party with Design*Sponge
We are obsessed with Design*Sponge everyone has to follow this blog. We are sure that we will continue to repost some of the adorable and creative ideas they have. There was one post in particular that we fell hard for and it was an outdoor movie screening idea. Although this is an idea that sounds best for the summer, we couldn’t wait until then to show share with you all. So, take notes and keep this on your to-do list for this upcoming summer! It’s amazing the many things you can accomplish in your own backyard, all you need is a little imagination.

Put It On The Calendar

Pizzazzerie along with Anna and Blue Paperie have provided a unique and adorable downloadable calendar. Each month can be reused as a notecard.
Cottage Illustrations reminds you that fruits and veggies aren’t only good for you, but pretty easy on the eyes.
Here’s to 2012 and hoping your calendar is always full with fun events!
Treasures In a Tin Box
A few weeks ago we stopped by Holy Fuck’s (excuse our informalities) weekly free comedy in show at the Los Angeles Downtown Independent where we had yet again one of those moments of “WHY DIDN’T WE THINK OF THAT?” Outside of the theater sat Tin Box of Curious Artifacts, a vintage clothing truck with the same premise as the booming food truck industry, but with clothes- vintage clothes. Follow them on Twitter @tinboxboutique to find out where they will be next!
