ACV is our new acronym for the season. ACV stands for apple cider vinegar which we have recently been learning has many health benefits. ACV was recommended to us as a remedy to deter symptoms of an on-coming illness. ”Take a shot of apple cider vinegar and chase with crackers.” And so we did.
So far we are feeling great and decided to research more health benefits ACV. ACV has been used since dating back to 400 B.C. when Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, found that ACV was a powerful cleansing and healing elixir. Even further history dates back to Julius Ceasar and his army using ACV tonic to ward of disease.
What does modern history tell us about ACV? ACV is said to aid in the cure of acne, allergies, sinus infections, high cholesterol, flu, chronic fatigue, sore throats, among much more. It is generally believed that the nutrients, enzymes, and organic acids in apple cider vinegar cause weight reduction by acting as an appetite suppressant, by increasing your body’s metabolic rate, by reducingwater retention, and by helping you maintain a feeling of well being.
Most studies show that ingesting 2 tablespoons of organic ACV will help you gain the many health benefits. We had picked up Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar, and while we regret smelling our glass filled with this beneficial drink, it wasn’t too bad on taste. We think this health regimen is something we will keep with. Cheers to ACV!
