Black Book

We are suckers for anything that incorporates the phrase: “little black dress”; so it was no surprise we were impulsive in purchasing, The Little Black Dress: Vintage Treasure, at the gift shop at the Arclight theater in Hollywood. This book takes us on a mini journey through the life of the LBD. We begin in 1926 with the one and only Mme Coco Chanel and travel through time to more modern and non-traditional silhouettes by designers such as John Galliano.

Author and international fashion expert, Didier Ludot, shares his enthusiasm for the LBD through a quick read and many pictures of the dress in all it’s forms. This book is a good addition to our fashion books collection.

Lady in the Streets

We came across this lady during our last minute shopping at Newport Beach’s Fashion Island. We caught her and her four-legged friends outside of a café. She wore a tan leather blazer, skinny jeans, an argyle sweater vest and two-tone leather riding boots. She polished off her look with a sleek pony, round sunnies and well accessorized pooches!
