LadyWe Love: The Non-Olsen Twin

Who would have thought that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen had a baby sister with so much talent? Not only is she an actress, and model, but she is also a current student at NYU. At the young age of 22, she has made her debut at the Sundance Film Festival in films Silent House and Martha Marcy May Marlene. Although she’s managed to knock on doors and work hard for her own accomplishments, she prides herself in the fact that she hasn’t used her family name to get her where she is now. She loves being a student and has always valued education, which is why she continues to juggle college life and acting.

Her upcoming thriller, Red Lights, with Robert De Niro, Sigourney Weaver, and Cillian Murphy, will most likely be her golden ticket and the film that will make her a household name. The film is expected to debut next year. Lizzie has already been nominated for Breakthrough Award and Best Ensemble Cast for her movie Martha Marcy May Marlene.

Describing herself as the “curvy one” and standing proud at 5’7″,  this full-figured beauty has been seen sporting her sisters’ clothing collections all around New York. We are sure that designers will start to jump on the opportunity to dress her for her future red carpet appearances.

Below is a photograph from her recent interview with Marie Claire. Read more about Lizzie Olsen here. LadyWe love her pearls and simple, feminine silk dress. Classic.

The young actress looked radiant in her embroidered sleeveless gown from the Valentino Resort 2012 collection. We cannot wait to see what her next big move will be.

Turn It Up

While our go-to hat for winter is usually a knit beanie, we’re going for a more classic style this winter: The Turban.  What are most often associated as a religious garb, turbans have also been seen throughout decades by some of fashion’s most iconic women.

Gloria Swanson, the late American Actress and Fashion Icon from the silent film era.

Greta Garbo, also of the silent film era, was ranked 5th on the American Film Institute’s list of Greatest Female Stars of All Time.

SJP can always count style amongst her best assets.

While many of our favorite brands are currently carrying turbans this season, we’re loving some of the handmade styles by the creative ladies on Etsy.

LadyWe Love Bows

Bows make everything classy. Although it is easy for bows to make one look like a 5 foot something Christmas gift, when done right, can provide our ensemble with the touch of femininity we always aim to have. Our favorite bow-to designer is Kate Spade, as she always manages to sneak some bows in when you least expect them. Anthropologies’ Polished Platinum Dress has got us thinking about what we should be wearing this holiday season. We think this one is a great candidate!
