Flats for Fall

While in NY at the beginning of the month, we stumbled upon these adorable leopard print flats at the Steve Madden store in SoHo. They are cowhide with an elastic band at the back for an easy fit. They are one of the most comfortable flats we’ve worn! Now that we’re back in Cali, we’re off doing our favorite Fall activity & stress reliever- stepping & crunching leaves!

Map Quest

On the hunt for the perfect map of the world.  This is a good contender.

These e-reader covers by www.outofprint.com may have convinced us to invest in a Kindle.  Nothing can replace the feel, smell, and the kinesiology of turning pages of a physical book, but it gets pretty tempting when you can make your e-reader look like a vintage hardback book.

Non-Shopping Remorse

You know when you see something online and talk yourself out of buying it? “It’ll be there forever! You don’t need to spend money today on this”?  I have this thought often, but this time, it has come back to haunt me.  I had been eyeing this “Catcher in the Rye” tee from www.outofprintclothing.com for awhile and a few month’s ago when I finally decided I NEEDED this shirt, it was gone.  I quickly emailed Out of Print to see if the shirt would be coming back anytime soon and they cutely told me that this shirt is “out of print” for the time but to continue to check out the site- which I will, but nothing will satisfy me as much as this shirt.

So, here I am, scouring the internet for the same shirt.  It feels like searching for a needle in a haystack, but I know that I will find it somewhere.

I suppose Out of Print took a cue from good ol’ J.D. himself, “If you do something too good, then, after a while, if you don’t watch it, you start showing off. And then you’re not as good any more.”

Mac N Me

Whether it’s Kraft, fried, truffle, there isn’t a mac n cheese we’ve met that we haven’t liked.  During our recent trip to NYC we discovered Mac Bar on Prince Street.  What looks seemingly like a small restaurant holds much more character once you’re inside and you realize you’re in a noodle-shapped restaurant.

With a menu of only 12 options, this still somehow seems overwhelming when it comes down to choose one of all these delicious-sounding mac n cheese options.  Best option- come with multiple friends and play musical mac n cheese. Trust us- they’re all good.

We settled on these 3 : Primavera, Cheeseburger Mac, and Margarita Mac

If you’re lucky enough to grab one of the 3 tables inside the noodle, your food will also come in a noodle.

Could mac n cheese get any cuter?  Yes, it can check out www.macbar.net
