There was a reason we started this blog. So that we could talk about women like Michelle Williams on the cover of Vogue’s October issue. Michelle Williams is the lady of our generation and is gracing the cover of the October issue of Vogue as the iconic Marilyn Monroe. With her amazing talent, beautiful looks, and amazing style, Michelle is in a class of her own. Not only do we love Michelle for those reasons, but her strength and character as a woman is so empowering. Michelle has grown in career (Dawson’s Creek to Blue Valentine- who saw that coming in 1999 while watching the WB?) but also in her personal life.
“Maybe it has something to do with turning 30. I don’t feel as shy or nervous or self-conscious. I have more confidence that I can handle what life brings me. I don’t feel scared to have an idea and express it.” She adds, “I feel giddy about it because it’s a complete transformation. It’s like I’ve found my voice.”

Williams is playing Marilyn Monroe in “My Week with Marilyn” a film directed by Simon Curtis about the behind the scenes dramas of shooting “The Prince and the Showgirl. Williams starred in “Blue Valentine ” opposite Ryan Gosling in 2010, a role that is still earning her critical acclaim.

While these images take our breath away, it is Williams’ daily street style that has us ooing and subscribing to US Weekly. Every picture we see of her walking the street with daughter Matilda we think- that is what a young mom should be like.
“I’m going to do everything in my power to make her feel safe and protected, and to extend her childhood for as long as possible.”
Out on the sidewalk, Williams says, “Is there anything better than making a kid laugh?”
